The crankshaft is the most important component in the engine. It takes the force from the connecting rod and converts it into torque through the crankshaft output and drives other accessories on the engine. The crankshaft is subjected to a centrifugal force of a rotating mass, a cyclically varying gas inertial force, and a reciprocating inertial force to cause the crankshaft to undergo a bending torsional load. Therefore, the crankshaft is required to have sufficient strength and rigidity, and the surface of the journal needs to be wear-resistant, work evenly, and have good balance.
Based on the customer's workpiece characteristics, we customize the targeted production process.
The material is selected from LF+VD smelting steel ingots, and special requirements for additional electroslag re-dissolution.
The forging process is formulated according to the material requirements, and the heating temperature and the final forging temperature are strictly controlled to ensure sufficient forging and uniformity of the structure.
For the material properties of 35CrMo, we use the medium quenching + high temperature tempering method for quenching and tempering.
